The Sol Compass: Christmas Dress with an Edge

Hi everyone, happy Monday! A few weeks ago, I took a poll on my Instagram asking what you all wanted to see more of this holiday season – casual or fancy outfits – and formal outfits took the win, so I started off with two velvet dresses in this post and a velvet tulle combo in this one! There will be plenty of casual outfits to come (plus this green sweater which pairs great with jeans!), but today I wanted to do a bit of a crossover between the two. If you have a formal event coming up but feel most comfortable in a moto jacket or stacked heels, this is the perfect marriage between the two. I found this gorgeous lace dress at Marshall’s, combined with TJMaxx, they are my two favorite places to find dresses – whether it’s for graduation season or the holidays! It is absolutely perfect on it’s own – I love the high neckline and lace sleeves – but to add a personal touch to it I think a black faux leather jacket and peep toe booties are the perfect way to add a little edge to an otherwise formal piece!
Outfit Details – Dress: Betsey Johnson, found at Marshall’s, similar here and here | Jacket: Topshop | Tights: J.Crew Factory | Booties: Coach (old, similar here, here, and here)
Thank you so much for reading, if you have any occasions coming up you want me to style an outfit for leave me a comment on this post! Have a great week!

Saying Goodbye to Bare Legs

Hey guys, so it’s finally time to say goodbye to bare legs, and say hi to tights !

I quite like it, because you don’t have to be tanned or anything, plus you can wear short skirts and not be afraid the wind will expose your underwear.

During winter, I love adding an edgy factor to my look, and I’m a sucker for everything leather : here, this skirt is from Storets, and it matches perfectly with my Givenchy boots.

For a chic touch, I added my beloved Maison Michel hat, and a Rag and Bone coat.

But my favorite part of this look is undoubtedly this new Chanel backpack, that I have worn everyday since I bought it.

I never thought I would be a backpack kind of girl, but I guess Chanel can make you do crazy things, right ?

I was wearing :

Skirt // Jupe : Storets

Sweater // Pull : Zara

Coat // Manteau : Rag and Bone

Hat // Chapeau : Maison Michel

Bag // Sac : Chanel

Boots : Givenchy

The largest European country in which there is a school uniform is the United Kingdom. In many of its former colonies, the form was not abolished after independence, for example in India, Ireland, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, Cyprus and Hong Kong.

In France, a uniform school uniform existed in 1927-1968. In Poland – until 1988.

In Belgium, the school uniform is only in some Catholic schools, as well as in private schools founded by the British. Typical clothes – pants and skirts are dark blue, white or blue shirt and tie.

In Germany there is no uniform school uniform, although there is a debate about its introduction. Some schools have introduced uniform school clothing that is not a form, since pupils can participate in its development. What is characteristic, even during the Third Reich, schoolchildren did not have a uniform form – they came to classes in everyday clothes, in the form of Hitler Youth (or other children’s public organizations).

In the US and Canada there is a school uniform in many private schools. In public schools there is no uniform form, although some schools have introduced dress code (English dress code).

In Cuba, the form is compulsory for all students in schools and higher education institutions.

I have loved ever second of this fall and I’m still loving it even if the weather got much chillier, but I must admit that I am not ready to give up fancy outfits just yet. This is why I am trying my best to mix my favourite fall clothing items, so that I can look cool and not feel cold.

My best friend for doing that are the new Laura Baldini tights. They start from the most transparent till the most opaque model and they give that chicness and mystery to the most simple attire.

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve had a strong relationship with my tights and I remember one time my mom got me a set of different colour tights to match every single one of my dresses. I was super happy to go to the kindergarten the next day wearing my favourite dress and a nice pair of blue tights and while I was running through the yard of my kindergarten, I fell and injured my knee. As I was taken to the nursing room, the nurse asked me why was I crying and if it hurts a lot. My answer was everything for a 3 year old little girl: ‘No, I’m crying because my tights are ruined!’ 😂 As you can see fashion was my priority from a very little age and I have the scar on my right knee to prove that.

This is why, now, I am stocked for life with Laura Baldini tights in ever colour, density and model as they are of a great quality and don’t break that easily.

Here I have shown you two ways to match your tights both in a day and evening look and how they even made the whole outfit classier and also kept me warm. Let me know which is your favourite and don’t forget to check Laura Baldini website to see the whole collection.

Black and Blue

It has been a few days since I have done a blog post. Sorry about that! I am in Philly for business and haven’t had much time to get anything together. I have never been around this city before. It reminds me a lot of NYC. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to go explore this afternoon, but I decided to stay in my hotel room to relax and catch up on some work. I also plan on doing my BBG workout that I missed last night! (oops)

This is what I wore this afternoon for meetings.I love the black and blue combo, and tights are my favorite layering piece for Fall. They can make rompers, dresses and shorts more appropriate for cooler weather. My heels are an older style but I have found a great dupe that are only $74! For the meeting, I did trade out the heels for a pair of black heeled booties, which Andi calls “Anna’s boots”… You know, Elsa’s sister. She insists on wearing them every day with her princess dresses. I hope she didn’t need them this week.. haha! I go home tomorrow morning and cannot wait to see Andi and Anthony. 🙂

From Brussels, with love ♥

Hi guys,
Hope your day will be awesome ! I’m sure trying to make mine a good one. Besides doing my blog, I want to go ahead and really take advantage of this fine Wednesday.. the sun appears to be shining and I bet a dish of Thai food is waiting for me downtown.
But first, here you have a really cute outfit…quite vintage if you ask me. I couldn’t resist not matching this Wolf& Whistle red dress with my new tights from the Gambettes subscription box. I’ve been wanting a pair of dotted tights for quite awhile now. I have so many awesome ideas on how to style these ( *excited*). My super old heels look like they were made to go with my super cute dress, don’t they?
Ok, here’s the outcome:

What I wore:
– Wolf&Whistle Aida lace panel dress
– Tights from Gambettes subscription box
– New Look shoes
– YSL clutch
– Rara Jewelry rings

The Gambettes subs box is a really cool concept as they always try to have a designer enrolled each month that they collaborate with and pick for that month what would go best with the designer’s pieces. Plus, the box is super cute 😝 and quite affordable 💘.
Hope you like the style I’m wearing today and I’ll be back with more fashionable looks and news next time xo

Kisses,
R.
