The largest European country in which there is a school uniform is the United Kingdom. In many of its former colonies, the form was not abolished after independence, for example in India, Ireland, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, Cyprus and Hong Kong.

In France, a uniform school uniform existed in 1927-1968. In Poland – until 1988.

In Belgium, the school uniform is only in some Catholic schools, as well as in private schools founded by the British. Typical clothes – pants and skirts are dark blue, white or blue shirt and tie.

In Germany there is no uniform school uniform, although there is a debate about its introduction. Some schools have introduced uniform school clothing that is not a form, since pupils can participate in its development. What is characteristic, even during the Third Reich, schoolchildren did not have a uniform form – they came to classes in everyday clothes, in the form of Hitler Youth (or other children’s public organizations).

In the US and Canada there is a school uniform in many private schools. In public schools there is no uniform form, although some schools have introduced dress code (English dress code).

In Cuba, the form is compulsory for all students in schools and higher education institutions.
