Happy Monday!! I’ve noticed that this year I’m wearing skirts or dresses very little, I’m almost always in pants. In fact, I hadn’t seen any skirt that I loved this season. But today I show you an original Pleated Skirt with different prints like the Vichy or Scottish print. I combined it with a black sweater and a blazer. To add a touch of color I added a red cap.
Ok, so the thing is these boots from Sacha Shoes are literally AMAZING and even though some of you were skeptical when I shared them on my Insta-stories, you will come around and you’ll see how trendy these will be this season ! Oh, my heart is taken away already…
Tights under shorts, a style you either love or hate. What’s not to love in this style? It’s a pure spring style. Right as many people are ditching the tights with the arrival of Spring, we see this season as the most amazing time to show off legwear. As days get warmer, skirts and trousers get shorter. Still, some days get colder or rainy, so going bare leg is never the right choice at this time of the year. Spring is the season to prove you’re a fan of hosiery.
How to prove you lose it for a pair of tights? One of the best ways is wearing patterned tights under shorts. We know many of you are fans of this style, which is not only practical but also really cool. So, we’ve created this quick guide to show you our favourite patterned tights to wear under your shorts and skirts.
Let’s start with the basics: Wearing fishnets under your shorts!
If we had to choose a single style of patterned tights under shorts for Spring or Summer, it’d have to be a pair of fishnet tights. All fishnets are perfect to wear with shorts, from micro-nets to whale nets. Our favourite for the season would be the Trasparenze fishnets above. The reason, its wonderful pastel colours!
Peonia is really close to the colour everyone’s been talking about in the last year: Millennial pink. Do you know what colour is meant to be hot in 2019? Lilac! Just like the Glicine tone in these fishnets. A coincidence? We don’t think so!
Wear them with all kinds of shorts: denim, leather, suede, cotton… even crochet and lace shorts! If you don’t feel like wearing pastel coloured tights, you can go for black, nude, navy or red fishnets, instead. There’s plenty of choices. Still, some combinations seem to be especially hot this season.
The combo of the season: Fishnets and dots
When Cecilia de Rafael told us about its new fishnet style, we didn’t look back and went straight for it. It’s not a secret that we, at UK Tights, love polka dot tights. Imagine how amazing we felt when we saw our two favourite patterns, nets and dots, all together in one style. Pure perfection!
Right on trend: Geometric patterned tights
Not only spots are on trend these days. Diamond patterned tights are super popular both for opaque tights and fishnet styles. Well, actually, geometric patterns are, in general, super popular these days. A reminiscence of the prints of the 70’s maybe?
All things explained, it shouldn’t come as surprise to you the fact that any fishnets with a geometric pattern are being hugely popular in 2018. These Oroblu fishnets in the picture are the perfect example or how a geometric pattern, a hexagon, can make a lovely pair of tights. These fishnets look fab with plain shorts with minimal style or denim. Nothing too complicated that could steal the attention from your wonderful pins!
Still, do you think red tights are too much for you? Don’t worry, the Oroblu Knot tights are available in black, Marine 10 and Sun.
We aren’t forgetting about the lace tights!
Of course not! A guide about patterned tights under shorts couldn’t miss a pair of lace tights. We have gone for a summery version of them by Wolford. These tights are available in both black and white, but we think these tights in white are shouting out ‘Summer’!
Other legs styles you can wear with shorts and skirts:
Polka dots, of course! If we haven’t included them in our list is only because we want you to try fresh new styles. Dotty tights under shorts are always a good idea!
Every now and again I like to wander into one of the many parks in Poznan to relax among the peaceful greenery. During my last visit, I was amazed by the stunning beauty of the flowering lilacs. Although it is a very common shrub, it’s still difficult not to succumb to its charm… Its beautiful yet intense aroma convinced me to sit a while on one of the park benches and take a break. And I loved the spring scenery so much that I decided to take a few shots for you. This time, I went for a retro-style look – a matching, dotted midi dress, a brown leather purse from Fabiola, and elegant high heels.
In this post, I am going to talk about my look which I wore in Bangalore fashion week.
As you all know, this was going to be my 1st fashion week, I decided to do a quick shopping for my look. While I was in a dilemma, whether to wear a casual plain outfit or wear a shimmery dress, I decided to go with both. So, I thought of buying a skirt which is little shimmery and jazzy and to pair it up with unadorned top from my wardrobe.
And because I love Forever21, I decided to hop onto its website and checkout the skirts. I finally chose this metallic mini skirt and it was so pretty that I just did not have the fortitude to wait for its arrival, hence I headed straight to Forever21 store and bought this metallic 2 shaded mini skirt.
The show was in the afternoon, and I wanted to keep my look little down, so I paired-up this faux leather metallic skirt with a front wrap plain black top.
Metallic trend is so in vogue. It has been seen on the runways in Paris fashion week, Street styles and in almost all the new-ins of famous brands. So, I thought what’s best than a metallic mini skirt and if you get it in a faux leather fabric, what else do you want.
The best part of metallic skirt is that, it can be dressed up by pairing it up with a metallic or embellished top, and can be dressed down by pairing it up with something neutral. Metallic trend can liven up the simplest of outfit and can be worn anytime of the day.
I absolutely love this trend, and like everything metallic from shoes to skirt to accessories. It brings such a futuristic vibe to your look and is aesthetic.
If you are still unsure whether you are a metallic person or not, you can start with carrying a metallic accessory like metallic belt or a clutch bag or even metallic shoes which would look super trendy and edgy. Pairing up any metallic piece with something Black always works well and makes it more wearable.
Coming back to my look for BFW, I also thought to sub in fishnet tights in my outfit. One of the biggest fall trend is Fishnet trend and not only as tights, it can also be a layering piece to give your outfit a chic style. Fishnet has gained momentum recently in the world of fashion and I totally love this trend.
Nude tights are having a moment. This week Meghan Markle was spotted at her first public engagement as a newlywed wearing a pair, adhering to the strict royal dress code of no-bare-legs. With plenty of summer weddings this year, I’ve been tempted to try the look but I’ve been apprehensive too and struggling to find the right pair.
From the moment the box arrived, I knew Heist tights would be different. It’s a treat to open their sandy pink box that feels luxe and smart. The tights come in a dust bag that I will be using again to stop any zips or heels catching on them as you pack and unpack for a weekend away. As you slither into them, they feel smooth and silky. There are two options of waistband – high at the waist and low to sit around the hips – I went for the high and the panel around the waist gives you just enough additional support to justify a lunch time pudding.
I wore Heist Nude on a hot summer’s day – all day – and never felt sticky. As the day turned to night I was thankful for a little leg warmth, and the flexibility meant I could dance all night without them rolling down or digging in at my waist. At 18-denier you almost forget you are wearing them – without a doubt the smoothest and most flattering tights I have ever worn.
